NEWS RELEASE: Aviva shows commitment to better ways of working by joining the Digital Workplace Forum
25th January 2012, New York and London
The Digital Workplace Forum (DWF), the new invitation-only confidential community for major organizations sharing their experiences about the shift form the physical to the Digital Workplace, is delighted to announce that Aviva has agreed to join as founder members.
Aviva is a global financial services company, the sixth largest insurance company in the world, and the largest insurer in the UK alone.
Digital Workplace Forum founder and CEO Paul Miller said “I’ve very proud that Aviva has agreed to join DWF. Not only is it a highly prestigious global brand, but it has proved to be consistently innovative in leveraging technology to find new ways to communicate, collaborate and improve processes among its workforce.”
Miller continued “The world of work is beginning to go through a radical change. More and more interaction between employees occurs digitally, away from the confines of the physical office. This represents a huge opportunity for both organizations and individuals to fundamentally re-think and redesign work for the better. However there are also many unknowns. By joining DWF and sharing its experiences with other forward-thinking organizations, Aviva is grasping this opportunity and looking to the future.”
Aviva join Johnson & Johnson as the second official member of the Digital Workplace Forum, with further announcements of new members expected shortly.
Among the many the benefits of DWF membership which Aviva will enjoy are:
- Tailored investigations into different aspects of the Digital Workplace
- Access to a cutting-edge research program
- The ability to interact and share experiences with other organizations in a confidential setting
- Regular in-person member events and field visits
- Participation in the cutting-edge monthly DWF Virtual broadcast
Aviva has been a member of DWF’s sister organization the Intranet Benchmarking Forum (IBF) for a number of years, where its intranet has been consistently benchmarked as being one of the best in the world.
